Esther Abrami

Described as a 'rising star’ by Strings Magazine and as a ‘glamorous and influential star’ by Pianist Magazine, French violinist Esther Abrami has performed in world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall in New-York, the Wiener Konzerthaus and Leeds Town Hall.

She has recently performed as a soloist with orchestras including the Jugend Symphonie Orchester Tulln in Vienna, the Yorkshire Young Sinfonia and Hertford Symphony Orchestra in the UK as well as with Orquesta de Cámara del INFAO and Xalapa Filarmonia in Mexico and the Brooklyn Metro Chamber Orchestra in New-York.

Esther has featured on both TV and Radio shows including Sky News, BBC Radio 3 where she performed the premiere of Chanson d’été by Paul Ibbotson and Classic FM who regularly invite her to perform.

With over 300,000 followers, Esther’s extensive and ever-growing following via social media has proved invaluable to thousands of children and teenagers across the globe with little or no access to classical music.

Esther has held a number of masterclasses and talks at the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in Mexico, St Dixie State University in Utah, the Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival in Vienna and to the Yorkshire Young Sinfonia in Leeds.

She is also an ambassador for the charity Tutti Passeurs d’Arts, which brings music to kids in schools from deprived areas in France. She gives them regular music lessons and performed with them at the EU Parlement in Brussels representing El Sistema Europe.

Esther has been awarded a first prize at the Vatelot Rampal violin competition, at The Arts of Instrumental Performance Concert Series "The Arts of Strings" and at the IMKA International Music Competition. She also won the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition 2017.

Having previously studied at Aix-en-Provence Conservatoire in France and Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, Esther graduated with honours from the Royal College of Music studying with Leonid Kerbel.

She is now completing a master degree at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the guidance of Wen Zhou Li, where she has been awarded a full scholarship.

Up coming engagements include recitals at BOZAR and Flagey in Brussels, La Madeleine in Paris and Beethoven-Haus in Bonn.
